It was learned from Xi'an Customs: From January to April 2024, Shaanxi exported 5,342 tons of plant extracts with a value of 698 million yuan, an increase of 40.2% and 26.1% year-on-year respectively. Shaanxi's plant extract exports enter the "fast lane".

In recent years, natural plant extracts have received more and more attention and praise from the food, medicine, cosmetics and other industries. Shaanxi is an important birthplace of plant extracts in China, and it is also the main production area of plant extracts in my country and the largest province in the plant extraction industry. At present, the plant extraction industry has become an important industry for the development of Shaanxi's foreign trade.

Kong Minmin, Director of the Food Safety Department of Xi'an Customs, stated, "After thorough research and demonstration, we implement refined management based on different uses such as food raw materials, cosmetic raw materials, and food additives, avoiding a 'one-size-fits-all' approach that could impose additional costs on enterprises." Xi'an Customs has also simplified the registration and approval procedures for export production enterprises, handling all processes online. They have strengthened the promotion of origin policies, guiding enterprises to fully leverage the benefits of tax reduction and exemption policies. Additionally, they have vigorously promoted the 'cloud issuance' of inspection and quarantine certificates and the 'Guanyoutong' delivery service to reduce waiting times for enterprises.
