Mainland China and Hong Kong have substantially completed a new round of revision consultations on the CEPA service trade agreement

Recently, the Ministry of Commerce, together with relevant departments and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, jointly held the third senior officials’ meeting of the Joint Steering Committee of the "Arrangement on Establishing Closer Economic and Trade Relations" (CEPA), and substantially completed a new round of consultations on the revision of the CEPA Service Trade Agreement between the Mainland and Hong Kong. The two sides agreed to accelerate relevant technical preparations and complete the approval procedures, with a view to signing and implementing the agreement as soon as possible.

自CEPA实施以来，内地与香港在货物贸易领域全面实现自由化，服务贸易领域基本实现自由化，投资领域建立了系统多元的保障体系。新一轮CEPA服务贸易协议修订将进一步深化内地与香港在服务贸易领域的开放合作，助力香港由治及兴，服务国家高水平制度型开放。
